The meaning of our symbols
Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
At If You Care, we use only unbleached paper that came from forests which were certified to be responsibly managed in compliance with the rigorous environmental and social standards of the Forest Stewardship Council.
Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)
Denotes certification by the Biodegradable Products Institute to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the U.S. standard ASTM D6400.
OK Compost Home
Denotes certification by Vinçotte as compostable in backyard or home composting facilities. This is one of the world’s only home composting certifications and it is based on the European standard EN 13432.
OK Compost
Denotes certification by Vinçotte to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the European standard EN 13432.
Seedling
Denotes certification to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the European standard EN 13432.
USDA
If You Care products are certified biobased according to USDA standards. They come from renewable resources and provide an alternative to petroleum-based products.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)
The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.
Fair Rubber
If You Care is a member of the Fair Rubber Association which promotes environment-friendly production of natural rubber. The Fair Rubber logo for products fulfill the criteria of Fair Trade in natural rubber. The Fair Rubber Association in particular ensures the payment of the Fair Trade premium to the rubber tappers, who decide how that money is spent.
SCS Certified Recycled Content
This certification validates If You Care’s claim of recycled post consumer content and accurately provides the percentage of recycled content material in our products.
EU Ecolabel
A number of If You Care products boast of the EU Ecolabel which is awarded to products that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle, from raw materials sourcing, production, usage and disposal.
Recycled Paperboard
If You Care packaging is made from 100% recycled paperboard.
