The meaning of our symbols

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)

At If You Care, we use only unbleached paper that came from forests which were certified to be responsibly managed in compliance with the rigorous environmental and social standards of the Forest Stewardship Council.

Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI)

Denotes certification by the Biodegradable Products Institute to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the U.S. standard ASTM D6400.

OK Compost Home

Denotes certification by Vinçotte as compostable in backyard or home composting facilities. This is one of the world’s only home composting certifications and it is based on the European standard EN 13432.

OK Compost

Denotes certification by Vinçotte to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the European standard EN 13432.

Seedling

Denotes certification to be compostable in commercial or municipal composting facilities in compliance with the European standard EN 13432.

USDA

If You Care products are certified biobased according to USDA standards. They come from renewable resources and provide an alternative to petroleum-based products.

Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS)

The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibers. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well.

Fair Rubber

If You Care is a member of the Fair Rubber Association which promotes environment-friendly production of natural rubber. The Fair Rubber logo for products fulfill the criteria of Fair Trade in natural rubber. The Fair Rubber Association in particular ensures the payment of the Fair Trade premium to the rubber tappers, who decide how that money is spent.

SCS Certified Recycled Content

This certification validates If You Care’s claim of recycled post consumer content and accurately provides the percentage of recycled content material in our products.

EU Ecolabel

A number of If You Care products boast of the EU Ecolabel which is awarded to products that have a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle, from raw materials sourcing, production, usage and disposal.

Recycled Paperboard

If You Care packaging is made from 100% recycled paperboard.

Made in France

We try to favor the use of local plants as much as possible. Our location in the Loire Valley, the cradle of medicinal plants in France, is a major asset for plant sourcing and traceability.

Etamine du Lys cares for animals and from the start, animal welfare is one of the brand’s priorities.

Etamine du Lys has been committed by saying no to animal testing. Our products are free from animal-based ingredients (except some products with honey and beeswax). They are audited and certified by One Voice in order to guarantee that neither the product nor the raw materials are tested on animals.

It is an additional guarantee for vegetarians and vegan people looking for ethical, non-violent products, more respectful about the link between earth, human beings and animals. As a reminder, home care products are unfortunately not concerned by the EU law that banned all animal testing on cosmetics sold inside the European Union since the 11th of March 2013. All our products are vegan (except products with beeswax).

PETA Association

Etamine du Lys goes further. Our company supports PETA association (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), the main world association for animal rights protection and is international Cruelty-Free campaign to end animal experiments in the world.

Our 35 products certified by Ecocert according to the eco detergent standards, give you the guarantee of environmentally-friendly product manufactured according to the good practices of Green Chemistry.

Our SURFACTANTS (cleaning bases) are coming from: Sugar (beetroot) and Cereals (oat, wheat) and are exclusively French and free of GMOs
Our VEGETABLE OILS are resulting from coco, palm, copra* (*RSPO certification – Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil)
Our ESSENTIAL OILS, used for their perfuming and purifying properties, are mainly resulting from Organic Farming Or are at least 100% pure and natural.

And that‘s exactly what makes us happy in the end of the day. Planet Pure has laid its tracks for sustainability. But not only, because we launched the first bio-certified laundry detergent back in 2011.

Moreover, we are extremely proud to set genuine new standards in terms of recognized quality standards. Besides the environmental aspect, Planet Pure also places high emphasis on health and our society.

A heart for the environment

We care a lot about our environment. At Planet Pure it all starts with the compounds and ingredients that are being used and not only fulfill the requirements of Austrian bio quality standards but succeed them – as all ingredients are biodegradable in less than 30 days and 100% made from plant-based raw materials. In addition, we deliberately avoid using pesticides – instead we trust in the power of nature, as it has quite a lot to offer in terms of cleaning power too. Therefore, we don’t use unnecessary chemical foam boosters that are not really helpful. Furthermore, we only use renewable energy for the production of our goods.

A heart for health

As this is our greatest wealth: our health! And that’s why we are only using bio-certified compounds and ingredients for the production of all Planet Pure goods – without any additives. Especially people with easily irritated skin often react sensitive to the ingredients being used in laundry detergents and care products. Planet Pure only trusts in plant-based active components from bio-certified raw materials and gently extracts them. As a result, we get wash-active surfactants from plant-based raw materials that are capable of replacing chemical alternatives while being gentle to your skin. Therefore, Planet Pure is 100% natural and may be used by allergic sufferers.

Since 1998 Austria Bio Garantie has been accredited as certification body for organic products according to ISO 17065 (ISO Guide 065). Austria Bio Garantie inspects and may also certify companies´ compliance with the Council Regulation (EC) No. 834/2007 for organic production and labeling.

Bali Boo: Sustainability

All products of Bali Boo are reusable, biodegradable and, most importantly, made in a way that is respectful to our planet so that their ecological impact is minimal.

Bamboo is used because it is the fastest growing plant in the planet. Also, coconut shells that have previously been discarded as a byproduct of the coconut industry are being reused. These products are sustainable that is why they are being used by Bali Boo: the products provide a solution against plastic and are easily and readily available in our planet without making use of intensive agriculture, fertilizers, pesticides, or any other harmful practices.

All products of Bali Boo are certified by PeTA as Cruelty free and Vegan. This means that none of the products are either made from animal products, nor they have been tested on animals in any way.

All packaging of Bali Boo are 100% recyclable. They are made with recycled carton or paper, and paper-tape is used to close the boxes. This means that the parcels delivered are 100% plastic free.

Certifications Grazie Natural

The products of Grazie Natural consist the new generation of ecological paper. The philosophy of Grazie Natural is that nothing goes to waste if everything gets recycled! This is the idea that led Grazie Natural to create its products from recycled materials.

Characteristics of Grazie Natural products

Efficient and clean recovery process of raw materials such as carton beverages
¾ of a normal beverage carton is made of cellulose fibres. These containers can be fully recycled thanks to a clean and efficient process that separates the fibres from the other components (polyethylene and aluminium). This way, new paper can be obtained from what once contained milk, cream, soft drinks, or fruit juice.

The new paper of Grazie Natural is all about quality and sustainability
The paper of Grazie Natural is a very high quality paper, incredibly soft, resistant and absorbent. The most important characteristic however, is the colour of the paper. The raw material from which paper is obtained must be chemically treated to get the classic white colour. However, Grazie Natural has kept its natural colour because no colouring or bleach is being used.

Grazie Natural’s quality and hygienic safety is guaranteed by specific clinical tests which have proven that its products are hypoallergenic when they come in contact with human skin. Grazie Natural toilet paper and tissues have obtained this additional certification.

The Ecolabel is the EU’s official environmental labelling system, through which Grazie Natural ensures that all the strict environment protection criteria are met. Thanks to the use of recycled paper, the environmental impact is much lower, even compared to products made with pure pulp. Based on the results of skin tolerance tests, carried out by dermatologists of accredited analysis laboratories, Grazie Natural toilet paper and tissues have been classified as non-irritating.
